In-situ instrumentation

Pavements built at CAPTIF have sensors buried inside them to measure the response of the material structure when subjected to vehicle loading.

Rig-mounted instrumentation

Sensors are required to safely run and control the loading vehicle (SLAVE). Sensors are also used to measure the dynamic behaviour of the vehicle.

Surface instrumentation

Throughout the life of a project at CAPTIF, any changes happening to the surface of the pavement are recorded.
