REG works closely with its partner organisations and key stakeholders across local government and central government.
REG's goals and desired benefits of the programme comes from a strong alignment in policy direction, legislative expectations, strategies and objectives with our partners.
REG has achieved much in the six years of operation (since 2012) and there is much more to be done as the government signals greater and more deeply embedded change to the transport system. AMPs and the business case approach has delivered considerable gains to improved outcomes.
There are considerable more gains to be made as RCAs work to understand the integration of transport system and how transport enables aspirations around housing, liveable cities and sustainable economic development. There is also risk of losing the gains made and potential future benefits if adequate ongoing support and direction is not applied.
