Priority crossings

Zebra crossings, legally called pedestrian crossings, are a crossing type where vehicle traffic is required to give way to pedestrians approaching or using the crossing.

A raised zebra crossing incorporates zebra signs and markings on a raised platform or raised table which can reduce or reinforce slower vehicle approach speeds making the crossing safer for pedestrians.

Mid-block pedestrian signalised crossings are installations that stop vehicle traffic so pedestrians can cross unimpeded.
