Certificate of particulars

A Driver licence certificate of particulars will show your driver licence number, issue date, classes, endorsements and conditions that appear on your licence.

How to apply

If you have a verified RealMe you can order a certificate of particulars through the NZTA app or online.

There's no fee and we'll email it to you straight away.

Fill in an online request form and we'll email it to you within 2 working days.

Third party requests

If someone else is requesting your details on your behalf, or if you're requesting details for another person, we may need extra information and the certificate of particulars we send will be slightly different. For example, it won’t include the driver licence number or the driver licence issue date.

Call us to apply

You'll need:

• the driver licence number (if you know it) 
• the licence holder's full name (as shown on the licence) 
• the licence holder's date of birth 
• the licence holder’s town/city of birth or country if born overseas 
• an email address to send the certificate to 
• a mobile number to send the security PIN to (so you can open the certificate).
