Works completed

Starting on Sunday, 30 November 2025, we’ll be setting up a project site parallel to the SH2 northbound lane at the Taradale Road roundabout.

The second phase of enabling works (north and south of the Tutaekuri River Bridge) was completed in May 2025. This involved building up the ground to enable construction of 2 additional lanes and a new additional bridge.

Geotechnical ground investigations have been completed. The results will inform the design of new structures set to be built between Kennedy Road and Links Road/Pākōwhai Road.

From early March to late April, we removed vegetation to enable construction between Links Road/Pākōwhai Road and Taradale Road.

In December 2024, we completed the first set of enabling works north and south of the Kennedy Road overpass. The site is now left to allow the ground to settle.
