Auckland overnight motorway closures 29 August – 4 September 2021

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 3 September 2021.

NORTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)

• Oteha Valley Road southbound on-ramp, 1-2 September

CENTRAL MOTORWAY JUNCTION (CMJ)

• None planned

SOUTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)

• South Eastern Highway (SEART) southbound off-ramp, 1 September
• Mt Wellington Highway southbound on-ramp, 1 September
• Southbound lanes between Takanini off-ramp and Papakura on-ramp, 3 September (approx. 10:00pm to 5:00am)
• Takanini southbound on-ramp, 3 September
• Northbound lanes between Papakura off-ramp and Takanini on-ramp, 1-2 September
• Papakura northbound (loop) on-ramp, 1-2 September  
• Papakura northbound (diamond) on-ramp, 1-2 September
• Papakura southbound on-ramp, 3 September

NORTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH16)

• Great North Road eastbound on-ramp, 29 August

UPPER HARBOUR MOTORWAY (SH18)

SOUTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH20)

• Southbound lanes between Hillsborough Road off-ramp and Neilson Street on-ramp, 1 September (approx. 10:00pm to 5:00am)
• Hillsborough Road southbound on-ramp, 1 September
• Queenstown Road southbound on-ramp, 1 September
• Northbound lanes between Neilson Street off-ramp and Hillsborough Road on-ramp, 2 September (approx. 10:00pm to 5:00am)
