Night works and detours next week on Avalon Drive

The final resurfacing of Avalon Drive on the Te Rapa section of the Waikato Expressway will recommence on Tuesday night.

Asphalting work will be carried out at night for three nights, beginning October 23. Motorists are advised traffic management will be changing nightly.

The details of these changes are as follows:

• Tuesday 23 – lane closures north and south bound on Avalon Drive
• Wednesday 24 – a detour will be in place for northbound traffic from Foreman Road directing traffic to arrive back at State Highway 1, Te Kowhai Road
• Thursday 25 - a detour will be in place for northbound traffic from Foreman Road directing
  traffic to arrive back at State Highway 1, Te Kowhai Road

Motorists are encouraged to watch the electronic message boards on Avalon Drive for exact details and updates.

A public opening day for the Te Rapa section of the Waikato Expressway is being planned for December 1.
