Northland state highway improvement works

The NZ Transport Agency asks all road users to be aware of speed restrictions and changes to highway and road layouts at the following locations where improvements are being made to the state highway network in Northland and northern region of Auckland:-

State Highway 1 north 

Whangarei: highway upgrade SH1/SH14/Maunu Rd

Windy Ridge: highway surface upgrade  

Hukerenui, Moerewa: highway surface upgrade 

Oakleigh: Katetoke bridge repairs

Kauri: rail overbridge: repairs

Towai: planting

Te Ahu Ahu Road: right turn bay safety work

McLeods Flat: guardrail improvements

SH1/SH10 intersection: rural intersection advanced warning sign installation

State Highway 10

Puketotara Road: highway surface upgrade

Kaeo: 50/70kph speed restriction

SH10/SH11 intersection: rural intersection advanced warning sign installation

State Highway 11

Whirinaki River: bridge repairs

Lemons Hill: 50/70kph speed restriction

Opua: 50/70kph speed restriction

Te Haumi: 50kph speed restriction

Waitangi: 70kph speed restriction

Whangae: 50kph speed restriction

SH11/SH10: rural intersection advanced warning sign installation

State Highway 12

Maungaturoto: highway upgrade and bridge repairs

Katui, Maitahi, Wharekawa: highway surface upgrade

Matakohe and Ruawai: highway surface upgrade

State Highway 14

East of showgrounds: highway surface upgrade

State Highway 16

Makarau: highway surface upgrade
