Road repairs at SH30 Whakatane Landing Bridge this weekend

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises roading repair work will take place at the western approach to the Whakatane Landing Bridge on State Highway 30 on the night of Sunday 27 June.

To reduce the impact on motorists, work is scheduled to take place between 7pm Sunday night and 6am Monday morning.

Work will take place under Stop/Go traffic management with a 30km/h temporary speed limit in place. For safety reasons, short duration road closures of 15 minutes will be required at several points throughout the work.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional time for their journeys. Please take extra care, reduce your speed and follow directions of traffic management staff and signs.

In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, work will be postponed and undertaken on the night of Monday 28 June instead.

Visit the interactive Waka Kotahi Journey Planner website (journeys.nzta.govt.nz(external link)) for the latest information on roadworks, traffic, road closures and detours to help plan your trip.

Waka Kotahi thanks motorists for their patience.
