A stretch of State Highway 50 at Maraekakaho in Hawke’s Bay has been closed this afternoon following a serious crash.
The road is closed between Kereru Road and Butler Road.
Emergency services are on the way to the scene and the road is closed until later this evening.
State Highway 2 is the recommended detour.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advises motorists to plan ahead, expect delays on the detour and take care.
