Work to clear slips underway in the Bay of Plenty, drive with extra care

|

The NZ Transport Agency advises Bay of Plenty motorists to drive with extra care as wet weather has caused a number of slips on state highways in the region.

State Highway 35 has been closed overnight at Maraenui.  Transport Agency contractors are currently onsite and the road will reopen at 9am. Drive to  the conditions and with extra care.

Sections of State Highway 2 Waioeka are down to one lane with stop/ go traffic management in place due to slips. The contractor is currently working to clear the highway and motorists are advised to drive with extra care and adhere to speed restrictions in place.
