The Takaka Hill Road into Golden Bay, SH60, was opened to all traffic before 2pm today, as small slips which occurred this morning meant crews had to defer their planned road rebuild programme.
The Takaka Hill Road into Golden Bay sustained one main slip overnight and there is silt and debris across sections of the road. Crews need to sweep the silt and away and wash the road to make it safe to drive on, and a digger is making its way up the hill to clear the slip.
