Newly installed roundabout on Arthur and Russell Streets in Dunedin

Dunedin City Council have made upgrades across three intersections (Church Street/Green Island, Tainui Road/Magdala Street/Dundonald Street and Russell Street/Arthur Street), improving safety for people walking and cycling.

By installing roundabouts, raised safety platforms and speed humps, the council has created a reduced speed environment, making it safe for everyone who travels through the area. The improvements also took in mind different vehicle types, with the roundabouts designed to be flat so large vehicles can travel over the centre of the roundabout with fewer turning restrictions.
