The NZ Transport Agency advises people travelling between Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, South Westland, that there will be two, one-hour-long road closures this coming Monday at lunchtime.

The NZ Transport Agency has three consecutive late night Lyttelton Tunnel closures coming up. These are on Sunday, 24 February, between 11pm and 4am, and also Monday and Tuesday nights, 25 and 26 February.
A fire has closed State Highway 1, Main South Road, south-west of Christchurch this afternoon as a hot norwest wind blows smoke around the area reducing visibility.
The NZ Transport Agency’s Aspiring Highways team will be installing permanent traffic signals at the Albert Town Bridge. This work in Queenstown Lakes District will start on Monday, 11 February and is expected to be completed by early April.
