The GPS units record speed data continuously, with data reported once for every 500 metres travelled.

If a vehicle is exceeding 100km/h at the point in time when the speed is measured during a 500 metre travel segment it is recorded as a ‘speeding instance’. This means that a single trip by a single driver where speeds exceed the 100km/h speed limit may account for multiple recorded instances of speeding.

Note: We do not have total kilometres travelled data for October 2014 to June 2015.
