The State Highway Summer Maintenance programme remains in full swing with State Highway 1 between Newlands and Tawa the next in line for attention over the next month.
Delays caused by recent bad weather means two further night closures are required to complete resurfacing work on State Highway 2 between Masterton and Carterton.
Night works begin next week that will see State Highway 1 Ngauranga Gorge closed to southbound traffic between Johnsonville southbound offramp and Ngauranga Interchange.
UPDATE 5:10 pm: State Highway 2 is now fully open in both directions.
However, drivers can expect delays in this area until queued traffic clears and congestion eases
