Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and Gisborne District Council are working together to improve Gisborne’s roads by undertaking extensive nightworks across the roading network between March and May 2022.
A new, safer 80km/h speed limit for the 76km winding section of State Highway 5 between Rangitaiki and Esk Valley will come into effect this Friday (18 February).
Work to complete pre-reseal repairs on State Highway 3 just north of the Mt. Messenger tunnel in Taranaki, will start on Monday 14 February at 10am, weather permitting. If the weather is unsuitable work will be undertaken from Wednesday 15 February.
